Mr. Onufrey is the founder and principal of Jupiter Realty Advisors, LLC a real estate investment and advisory services firm. He has over 27 years’ experience and a proven track record leading commercial property transactions, managing portfolio & asset management teams and developing investor relations & corporate communications initiatives.
Mr. Onufrey is formerly President and Managing Partner of ALTO Real Estate Funds, a boutique private equity real estate platform that operates three funds and has invested in excess of $1.0 billion.
Prior to joining ALTO, Mr. Onufrey was a Senior Vice President for Kimco Realty Corporation (NYSE:KIM), one of North America's largest publicly traded operators of open-air shopping centers. While at Kimco, Mr. Onufrey established strategic direction and managed an investment and asset management program with more than $14.0 billion in assets. In addition, he led the acquisition and disposition program at Kimco for five years, overseeing transactions with an aggregate value of approximately $5.0 billion.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Onufrey was a Vice President in the Real Estate Investment Management division of J.P. Morgan and an audit and consulting professional with Price Waterhouse. At J.P. Morgan, he was responsible for marketing their institutional REIT investment strategy to major investors and consultants, raising $75 million in new assets for the program during the first four months in the position.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and was the controller for JP Morgan's Special Situation Fund and the Strategic Property Fund, two of the world’s largest open-ended real estate commingled funds. While at Price Waterhouse, Mr. Onufrey was an auditor and consultant specializing in the real estate and insurance industries.
Mr. Onufrey holds a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York College at Old Westbury. He has served as treasurer and as a board member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers and he is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
